The city of Walnut Creek turns 100 this year. One of the ways that the city is celebrating is through art. Artists were asked to create works that reflect the history, land, community, or culture of Walnut Creek. I was inspired to create this painting after scrolling through the city’s historical photos. I spotted this rancher standing among other men, next to a great big bull.  Perhaps I should paint the bull as a companion piece? In the meantime my Rancher from the Creek can be seen at the Bedford Gallery  from September 21st through November 16th.
